If you are in need of a fancy morning breakfast, this red plum compote matches perfect with natural (Greek) yoghurt, fresh fruits and granola. For lunch, you can combine it with ricotta or fresh cheese, grilled nuts and honey to make your boring bread-break a hit wonder. It can finish all kind of desserts like puddings, pie, ice cream, pancakes or even chocolate mousse.

This recipe is with red plums because of the season. But peaches, nectarine or mixed red fruits also work well with these ingredients. Try to use ripe fruit, this really makes the difference for the end result.
